Sequel to the first Endoparasitic game
Endoparasitic 2 is a premium adventure game coming from developer Deep Root Interactive. It is the sequel to the first survival horror experience, Endoparasitic. It picks up where the original story left off as players continue their grueling journey to escape a spaceship filled with victims of a deadly disease that has turned them into monstrous creatures.
Much like the first Endoparasitic game, the Endoparasitic 2 sequel draws from eldritch lore for its story and design. Players will navigate dark corridors, defend themselves from hostiles, and finally escape this hellish nightmare once and for and go back to civilization.
The crawl continues
The first Endoparasitic game offered a unique gameplay experience for survival horror fans. It had a twisted premise and distinct gameplay mechanics that had players desperately crawling for survival, literally. Fast-forward a couple of years, and Endoparasitic 2 has been released, picking up where the original left off and letting players witness how the fate of its pitiful protagonist will turn out.
Like the original, the unique gameplay mechanic helps Endoparasitic 2 stand out from its modern contemporaries. As a dismembered survivor, you'll literally crawl as you navigate an arc ship infested with eldritch-like creatures. Manage your actions with one hand as you face enemies at every turn, trying to balance crawling, reloading, and shooting simultaneously. All that, while managing your inventory and looking for materials to craft better gear.
At certain points during your journey, you will need to fight and defeat bosses in order to progress. You can also meet other survivors who need help and can offer some in turn. All that said, the gameplay from the first game has not changed much, which also means the various issues and bugs have also carried over to this sequel.
Crippled like its tragic protagonist
While many fans will rejoice that a sequel has come, others will lament the fact that plenty of the original's issues and bugs have been retained and yet to be fixed. It's still a better experience than its predecessor, but not by much. Nevertheless, it is still worth checking out if you're a fan and want to how the story progresses.
